Planning / Logistics

Provide a Planning service for all stages of construction process, displayed as Gantt Charts, for the following
- Scheme Conception / feasibility
- Pre-con & Planning Approval
- Design / Procurement
- Enabling works / Construction
- Commissioning / Soft landing
- Defects management
Identify the Project Milestones & Critical Path throughout the programme
Provide planning support to site teams
Provide independent progress review on Programmes, in the way of
- Drop line programmes
- Written reports
- Pictorial evidence
Produce As built programmes throughout the projects life cycle
Review / Comment on build ability, feasibility & logistic practicality of programmes supplied to the client
Provide Logistical advice for the project as a whole
Provide Logistical Plans / Phasing sequence drawings, of the whole life cycle of the project in 2D
Present the programme / phasing sequence, or coach to present said document

Pre-Construction

Produce Scaffold Schedule, Temporary Works schedule, Hoarding schedule, Welfare schedule, Distribution schedules
Produce Traffic / Delivery Plans
Carry out Dilapidation Survey’s and produce pictorial record document
Produce Construction Phase H&S plans for planning submission
Assist in the production of the ‘Construction Management plans’ & ‘Codes of Construction Practice’ that most London boroughs require at present

Design Management

Manage the design process through the RIBA Stages, ready for Planning, Pricing, Construction & As Built
Manage the design team, chair DTM’s
Design Interrogation
- Identify risk areas within design
- Identify areas requiring further design, when falling short of the RIBA stages
- Suggest build ability options
- Suggest value engineering options
- Develop query schedule
Manage pre-commencement on site surveys

With almost 30 years in the industry, ALS's main experience comes from the Project Management of major supermarket developments, including extensions to live stores.

And more recently, educational buildings, both new build and extensions, ranging from £1m to £30m

Include a number of years working on the London Olympic Site and our experience covers most shapes, sizes and types of construction.

Our experience also extends in to the pre-con side of the industry, as whilst working with 5 of the top twenty contractors in the country, time was spent in their Pre-Con departments, prior to starting new sites, progressing the tender Programmes, completing H&S Plans, attending Interviews and progressing the design through Planning and on to site.

With this level of experience we feel ALS has the advantage over it’s competitors, being able to bring this level of on hand construction experience, along with the knowledge of the pre-con process to our Planning, Logistical, Pre-con and Design Management services.
